Tree Stand Height – How High?

What is the ideal tree stand height for hunting whitetails? It all depends. Primarily you just want to get out of the deer’s line of site. How high up a tree you place your stand will depend upon the terrain your tree is on. Usually placing your tree stand at a height of about 15-20′ is normal, but you may want to go higher.
